Why are special forces helmets different ?
They’re ballistic helmets commonly employed by the U.S. special forces, including SWAT, Delta Force, and the Navy. Special force helmets have a higher cut than PASGT or MICH helmets, allowing soldiers to deploy numerous helmet accessories and gain a superior sense of awareness.
What helmets do special forces wear ?
Helmets for special forces are known as SF Helmets Rapid Action Protection Shells (RAPS). The shell-like design of this helmet reflects its name. There is no interaction with load carriers due to the ear cut geometry, which covers the back of the occipital bone.
